INTRODUCTION
Learn to confidently read, interpret, and apply construction drawings and specifications in the Canadian construction industry.
This course blends technical literacy with real-world application through short cases, collaborative exercises, and practical tools, tailored for site supervisors, junior PMs, estimators, and construction professionals looking to understand or deepen their drawing interpretation skills.

​Module 1: Blueprint Foundations - Learn the basics of construction drawings, sheet organization, and key drawing standards in Canada.

Module 2: Architectural & Structural Reading - Understand floor plans, elevations, and how to interpret key elements across architectural and structural drawings.

Module 3: MEP & Civil Drawings - Decode mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and site layout drawings with real-world examples.

Module 4: Construction Specifications - Navigate specs, CSI divisions, and learn how to align specs with drawings for better project clarity.

Module 5: Practical Application & Coordination - Build coordination skills by reviewing full drawing sets, identifying errors, and simulating field use.

Assessment & Certification - Participants will complete a short assessment, such as a drawing walkthrough or quiz, to demonstrate foundational competency. Upon completion, they will receive an ABCD Crew Certificate of Completion, recognizing their skills in interpreting construction drawings. This is not a license but affirms job readiness.
